mass Usuage of Transistors

Transistor is an Electronic device used to amplify or switch electronic signals. Transistors are specially made of Semi-Conductors. All the Transistors atleast have three terminals for connecting to the external circuits. A voltage or current applied to one pair of the transistor's terminals changes the current flowing through another pair of terminals.Transitors are mainly used in Radio,Telephone ,computer and such more electronic devices. the vast majority of transistors produced are in integrated circuits along with diodes, resistors, capacitors and other electronic components to produce complete electronic circuits. A logic gate consists of about twenty transistors whereas an advanced microprocessors.Transistors are cheap,flexible,reliable devices. It is often easier and cheaper to use a standard microcontroller and write a computer program to carry out a control function than to design an equivalent mechanical control function. BJT remained the transistor of choice for digital and analog circuits because of their ease of manufacture and speed. However, attractive properties of MOSFETs, such as their utility in low-power devices, have made them the everywhere choice for use in digital circuits and a very ordinary choice for use in analog circuits.
